Sutton SET dates for 2026 and 2027 entry

The Sutton Selective Eligibility Test, usually called the SET, is scheduled for Tuesday 15 September 2026 for children applying for September 2027 entry.

The registration deadline is Friday 31 July 2026. Sutton Council says the shared SET schools use one registration for the shared test, but families should verify the live detail on the school’s own admissions page before relying on any date.

Which schools use the Sutton SET

Sutton Council lists the shared selective eligibility test for:

• Greenshaw High School
• Nonsuch High School for Girls
• Sutton Grammar School
• Wallington County Grammar School
• Wallington High School for Girls
• Wilson’s School

The shared SET does not make every school route identical. Wilson’s, Sutton Grammar, Wallington County Grammar, Nonsuch and Wallington High School for Girls can involve second-stage testing and school-specific admissions rules.

What to check before 31 July 2026

Do not leave the Sutton decision at “register once”. Use the July deadline to check:

1. which Sutton schools are genuinely in range from home
2. whether your child would sit only the SET or a later stage as well
3. whether a school is boys’, girls’, mixed, or partly selective
4. how each school ranks eligible applicants after testing
5. whether the school still belongs on the CAF after results
