What does a Bexley 11+ score mean?

Explains Bexley Selection Test results, selective eligibility and why parents still need to read school admissions policies.

The score is route-specific

Bexley uses its own selection process. The result should be read using the Bexley score explainer and the admissions policies for the Bexley grammar schools you are considering.

A score can tell you whether the child meets the selective standard or how the result has been reported. It cannot tell you alone which school will be offered.

Example

A child is deemed selective in Bexley. The family can name Bexley grammar schools on the CAF. The final outcome still depends on preference order, school places and the admissions policy for each named school.

What to check

  • The Bexley result wording and any published score explanation.
  • Which Bexley schools the result can be used for.
  • Whether a school gives priority by distance, sibling link, pupil premium or another rule.
  • Whether the journey works from your address.
  • What other schools should remain on the CAF.

Do not over-read the number

Bexley scores are useful inside the Bexley route. They are not a general measure of every grammar school chance. Use the score to decide what to check next: school policy, geography on the school map, and CAF order.
