Woodbridge School

Woodbridge School gives pupils a continuous co-educational education from the early years to the Sixth Form, with day and boarding places within the same community. The move between stages brings greater independence and subject choice, but the school keeps the relationships and activities that make the earlier years familiar. That combination gives Woodbridge a clear all-through character without treating every age group in the same way.

In the senior school, pupils build a broad foundation before choosing GCSE subjects. English, mathematics, sciences, languages, humanities, music, drama and art sit alongside life skills, creativity and independent study. Academic work is taken seriously, but it is held within a wider education that values making, performing, playing and learning how to manage increasing responsibility.

The Sixth Form brings more specialisation and a direct connection with life after school. Students can study subjects including medicine, theatre, English Literature, Arabic, Spanish, politics, surveying, illustration and fine art. In 2025, 52% of A Level grades were A* to A and 73% were A* to B; 48% of leavers went to a top-20 university, while others chose academic and creative destinations. The emphasis is on helping students pursue a direction that suits their interests and abilities.

Boarding adds another way to belong, while day pupils remain at the centre of the mixed community. Woodbridge's character is found in the balance between broad curriculum, serious Sixth Form study, creative life and the gradual growth of confidence as pupils move through one school.
