Thomas's College

Academic rigour, creativity, confidence and hope are central to Thomas's College, a co-educational day and weekly boarding school in Richmond for students aged 11 to 18. The college is organised into Fourth Form, Fifth Form and Sixth Form phases, and its campus occupies five acres of historic buildings and gardens.

The curriculum gives students a choice between traditional GCSE study and Thomas's Qualifications, with the same course content assessed in different ways. Sixth Form students typically take three or four major subjects, almost always to A Level, while some may complete a Thomas's Qualification instead. The approach leaves room for academic, creative and entrepreneurial routes within one programme.

Wesley House supports weekly and flexi boarders aged 11 to 18. Weekly boarders arrive on Monday morning and leave on Friday afternoon; flexi boarders can use the house for one-off or regular bookings. Evening activities, outings and events sit alongside pastoral and academic support, allowing residential life to work around different patterns of home life.

The college's admissions routes include 11+, 13+, 16+ and limited occasional places, with occasional-place availability depending on the year group. The campus has a dedicated sports ground at Dukes Meadows in Chiswick, and the phone-free approach runs through Sixth Form with controlled use of school devices. In July 2025, the relevant Standards were likely to be met if the proposed move, age extension and boarding changes were implemented.
