At a glance
Tarbiyyah Secondary School grew from a small home-schooling centre for secondary boys opened in 2019 after the trust's primary work. It became a dedicated secondary setting in 2024, serving Years 7 to 11 and placing tarbiyyah, or spiritual and moral education, alongside academic study. The boys-only route covers ages 11 to 16 and has no boarding or sixth form.
Key Stage 3 includes English, mathematics, science, computing, history, geography, Arabic, French, art, physical education, PSHE, Islamic Studies and Quran. Key Stage 4 retains biology, chemistry and physics alongside English, Arabic, computer science, Islamic Studies, mathematics, physical education, PSHE and Quran, with optional subjects adding choice.
Language, reasoning and practical application run through the curriculum. English uses short stories, poems, plays and classical literature; mathematics develops logical thinking and problem-solving; and computer science covers coding, graphical design, administration and hardware management. Quran teaching includes recitation, tajweed, memorisation, revision and interpretation, while Islamic Studies covers belief, manners, worship and Islamic history.
Admission begins with an application form and the boy's latest report, followed by a two-hour assessment and an interview with the pupil and parent. The 2025-26 annual fee is £5,640, with a deposit after acceptance.
