St Michael Abbey School

A first cohort in September 2025 gives St Michael Abbey School the feel of a beginning rather than a finished institution. The community is deliberately small, international and built for students aged 13 to 19, with day and boarding places and year groups capped as numbers grow. That scale allows close attention from staff while keeping local and international students together.

Students can follow English immersion, GCSE, A level or University Foundation routes, so the curriculum is shaped around different starting points and destinations. Years 12 and 13 add changing enrichment such as foreign languages and crafts. Study is joined by activities, cultural exchange and practical support, with the course offer intended for both students from the UK and those arriving from abroad.

Full-time and flexi-boarding, meals, transport, a Wellbeing Hub and pastoral help form the practical framework. International students settling into life in the UK receive particular attention, and boarding students need a UK-based guardian. Bursaries and scholarships are available for outstanding achievement or talent, alongside an admissions route based on registration, entrance assessment, interview, readiness, curiosity, motivation, conduct and course suitability.

There is an important current limit to this picture: day and boarding admissions are no longer being accepted for September 2026 and beyond. Enquiries remain directed towards Immersion, University Foundation, short-course and summer-school provision. Tenbury Wells is the setting, but the defining feature is a young institution still building its small, internationally minded community.
