Overview

Learning by doing has been part of St Dunstan's College since it opened on its present site in 1888. The Catford College became fully co-educational in 1994 and retains a historical connection with the City of London. Innovation, integrity and individuality frame an all-through journey from the early years to Sixth Form.

From Year 7, separate biology, chemistry and physics are taught in specialist laboratories alongside English, mathematics, humanities, religion, philosophy and ethics, Latin and a modern language. Art, drama, dance and music have a clear place in the lower school, while design engineering and computer science enter as pupils progress. The Stuart Additional Curriculum addresses future opportunities, digital citizenship and global responsibility.

The Forder Programme is timetabled into the day and offers more than 250 choices each term across music, sport, drama, art, trips and expeditions. Form-tutor time twice daily and a Wellness Centre with nursing and counselling support the pastoral structure. Volunteering, fundraising and leadership give pupils ways to contribute beyond their own timetable.

Sixth Form combines chosen A levels with the St Dunstan's Diploma: Inspired Minds, True Character and Global Futures. The strands bring academic depth, future readiness and personal growth together, with volunteering and work experience included. Admissions cover Junior, Senior and Sixth Form entry, with occasional places and scholarship and bursary routes available at relevant stages.
