Springfield House School

A maximum of eight students gives Springfield House School an intentionally small scale. The Educ8 setting provides bespoke full-time education for pupils aged 11 to 18 who may have experienced exploitation, with specialist support within a therapeutic environment. It is a mixed independent day setting with no boarding and a sixth form, built around individual provision rather than a large year-group model.

That small scale is matched by a clearly defined operating framework. Admissions, behaviour, safeguarding, SEND, teaching and learning, attendance, and health and safety policies support the setting's work, with Debbie Lindsay as headteacher. The combination keeps practical oversight close to the pupils and gives the provision a focused shape across the secondary years.

Separate Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 timetables give the academic programme its structure. Educ8's approach brings together person-centred learning, multidisciplinary support, therapeutic interventions and bespoke learning programmes, with awards and qualifications tailored to individual pupils. Springfield House carries those ideas into a setting whose age range and timetable remain distinct.

Springfield House is therefore a specialist secondary and sixth-form setting with a deliberately limited roll and a focused therapeutic remit. Its identity rests on close individual provision, a tightly bounded age range and the practical support around pupils who may have experienced exploitation. That makes it markedly different in character from a conventional large secondary school.
