Overview

Classes of no more than ten pupils are central to Slindon College's specialist provision for boys aged 8 to 18. Day and boarding pupils study secondary and Sixth Form courses within a setting designed for boys who need additional learning support, with individual attention running through ordinary school life.

Years 7 to 11 cover English, mathematics, science, ICT, humanities, art, design technology, drama, cookery, music, religious education, physical education and personal, social and health education. At Key Stage 4, pupils take the core and choose up to four further subjects, combining coursework, practical work and continuous assessment with examinations.

Support is built around experience with dyslexia, dyscalculia, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, autism and dyspraxia. Screening takes place on entry, with learning-support or therapy programmes where needed. Mental Fitness includes reflection time, woodland walks, pupil meetings and Learning Energy, helping pupils recognise and regulate how they feel.

Secondary pupils and Sixth Formers can use weekly, part-time and flexi boarding. Evening activities and houseparents support a structured residential community, while the Sixth Form adds specialist teaching, study space and enrichment. The October 2025 routine inspection recorded the relevant standards as met.
