Overview

Re-engagement is the purpose of Priory Park Community School: a route back into learning for young people with social, emotional and mental-health difficulties, including those at significant risk of permanent exclusion. Opened in 2021, the mixed provision serves pupils aged 11 to 16 and uses an alternative model rather than a conventional senior timetable.

English, mathematics, science, humanities, citizenship and PSHE, computing and PE form the academic core. KS3 and KS4 accreditation is joined by planning for suitable post-16 destinations. Afternoon sessions bring Creativity and Expression, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, ABA Boxing Awards, intervention and project-based enrichment; mentoring includes sport and outdoor education at Wren's Nest.

Young people may be referred with or without an EHCP. EHCP referrals go through Dudley's SEND Team, while schools can refer pupils without an EHCP through the office. The provision is non-boarding and has no Sixth Form. Its June 2025 inspection graded the setting Good overall and personal development Outstanding, a useful context for the referral-led model.
