The Peterborough School began in 1895 as a girls' school, moved to Westwood House in the 1930s and became co-educational in the Senior School in 2009 before adopting its present name. Nursery, preparatory, Senior School and Sixth Form provision now share one day-school community, with the Woodard identity placing everyday education within a Christian tradition of character and personal development.
Senior pupils study English, mathematics, science, languages, humanities, art, drama, computing, PE and technology. GCSE programmes normally include nine or ten subjects, combining English, mathematics and the sciences with options such as humanities, languages, drama, music and computing. Chapel, PSHE, careers, sport and fixtures extend the week, while the Creative Arts Centre and Sixth Form Study Centre support wider work.
