Nottingham High School

Nottingham High School's long history in the city now supports an all-through structure with its own rhythm at each stage. Infant and Junior provision lead into a Senior School for 11 to 16 and a Sixth Form for 16 to 18, creating a continuous route for boys and girls without losing the distinct character of post-16 study.

Senior pupils work towards GCSEs through subject departments, tutor sets and an academic-study programme. The Sixth Form offers A-Level subjects, STEM opportunities, wellbeing support and guidance for university and employment, giving older students a defined academic environment within the wider school.

The co-curriculum ranges from performing arts, sport, clubs and trips to charity and service. Pupils can explore coding, Classical Greek, outdoor activities and school minibeasts, or propose a new club when their interest is not represented. Tutor support gives teamwork, communication and leadership a place alongside subject learning.

Applications are direct through separate Senior School and Sixth Form routes, with visits, assessments and financial assistance forming part of the process. Nottingham High is a non-boarding day school with a mixed intake and its own Sixth Form, so families can follow one institution from the early years through post-16 choices.
