Overview

Opened in 1873 by the Girls' Public Day School Company, Notting Hill & Ealing High School became part of the GDST and is now the Trust's oldest all-through school. That history gives its current girls-only route from Reception to Sixth Form a strong sense of continuity, while the non-boarding model keeps the whole journey rooted in its local community.

Pupils move through sciences, languages, humanities, creative subjects and technology from the Junior School into the senior years. Sixth Form students have a dedicated centre with seminar rooms, study areas, a cafe, garden and gym. A-Level study is paired with enrichment, research-skills work and guidance for higher education, giving the post-16 stage a clear identity.

Victorian character sits alongside a 25-metre pool, recital hall, recording studio, dance studio, theatre spaces, sports hall and specialist science, design and art rooms. Sport, music and drama are part of the wider rhythm, with the facilities making it possible for academic, creative and physical pursuits to share one campus.

Applications are direct at 4+, 7+, 11+ and 16+. The 11+ route uses the London 11+ Consortium assessment and interviews; Sixth Form selection considers written assessments, predicted GCSE grades, a reference and subject interviews. Scholarship and bursary routes sit alongside these entry points.
