New Hall's identity begins in Liège, where the Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre founded the community in 1642, before it settled on the present estate in 1799. That Catholic foundation still shapes a co-educational day and boarding community from nursery to sixth form, with the senior years organised through its distinctive diamond model.
Children attend nursery and prep together to 11, move into separate boys' and girls' senior divisions from 11 to 16, then reunite in a co-educational sixth form from 16 to 19. Subjects range from sciences, classics, computer science, dance, drama and languages to theology; post-16 options include A levels, BTEC Sport and the Extended Project Qualification.
More than 100 clubs, sport and boarding houses extend the day. New Hall Farm and the Outdoor Centre support Natural Sciences, outdoor learning and equestrian activity, while chaplaincy, pastoral care and wellbeing remain part of the Catholic character. Day and boarding routes are available at each stage.
