Moyles Court's motto, Resurgam, or “I shall rise again”, captures the resilience woven into its story. Founded in Bude in the 1940s, it moved to its present New Forest setting in 1963, where pre-school, prep and senior provision share one campus for children from the early years to 16.
The senior programme is centred on GCSE preparation but leaves room for sport, music, drama and a varied activity programme. Its Enhanced Learning Programme offers additional support where the setting can meet a pupil's needs, with a pre-registration assessment before a place is agreed. The forest informs camp-outs, trips, cultural visits and clubs from coding, art and pottery to rugby and hockey.
Boarding can be full, weekly or flexible, supported by houseparents, induction and a buddy system. Entry is direct, with key points at pre-school, Reception and Year 7. Years 3 to 11 applicants take English and mathematics assessments on a taster day; Year 7 and older pupils also have a visit, interview, senior assessment and current-school reference, while other entry ages depend on places.
