Overview
Moreton Hall began in 1937 and has grown into a nursery-to-sixth-form community where boarding shapes the rhythm of the day. The senior and sixth-form provision is for girls, while the wider setting is co-educational from ages 1 to 18; day, full, weekly and flexi arrangements allow the residential experience to change as pupils grow.
Years 7 to 9 combine English, mathematics and science with arts, technology, languages, history, Latin and music. At GCSE, pupils choose eight or nine subjects around the core, with options such as additional mathematics, business and languages. Tutors meet pupils twice a week, and house staff give boarding a family-like structure across the extended day.
Junior boarding begins in Year 3, older pupils can stay overnight for up to three nights a week, and sixth-form houses offer more independence. Sport, music and drama continue after lessons. Applications are made to Moreton rather than an individual house, with open days, bespoke visits and taster days, including overnight experiences, across the 11+, 12+, 13+, 14+ and sixth-form entry points.
