Mayville High School

Self-esteem, self-confidence and self-knowledge are the stated aims around which Mayville High School's provision is organised. The co-educational day route runs from nursery through the senior department for ages 2 to 16, across five locations along a residential road. It has no boarding or Sixth Form, and its structure is divided into nursery, pre-prep, junior and senior departments.

In November 2024, safeguarding, risk assessment, information and leadership standards were met. Safeguarding arrangements were implemented effectively, the safeguarding team reviewed practice regularly, concerns received appropriate action and technology filtering and monitoring systems were in place.

Risk assessments were followed for the sites, trips, visits and pupil welfare. Mayville is overseen by a board of trustees as a charitable trust, giving its small multi-site structure a defined governance model. The operational foundations matter as much as the age range when considering the provision.

The pupil context is also specific: 149 pupils were identified with special educational needs and/or disabilities, 16 had an education, health and care plan, and 36 had English as an additional language. Those figures sit alongside the school's emphasis on personal confidence and self-understanding; the November 2024 check covered specified standards rather than providing a full academic judgement.
