The Marist School

A Catholic identity shapes The Marist School's through-school journey, but its age and gender arrangement needs reading carefully: the formal range is 2 to 18 and includes Sixth Form, while the nursery is co-educational and the senior phase is organised for girls. That combination gives the school a distinctive progression from early years into a girls' senior experience rather than a single uniform model across every age.

Senior learning combines classroom teaching with technology and digital media through Blended Learning Marist style, with an Aim Higher programme for additional academic challenge. A broad, balanced curriculum and pastoral system are matched by service to others as a central part of the educational vision. Academic ambition therefore sits alongside community responsibility and the habits of care expected in a Catholic setting.

More than 90 clubs run before and after lessons or at lunchtime, with seasonal provision shaped by pupil interest and staffing. The 55-acre site supports a busy co-curricular week, while Lily Groups create a structure for older pupils to take responsibility. Year 7 pupils are paired with Sixth Form prefects during the move into the senior phase, giving that transition a clear peer-support element.

Entry is academically selective: applicants complete an entrance assessment and Marist Passport before a group interview. Progression from the prep phase still involves assessment and is not automatic. The senior route is a day-school pathway with no boarding, continuing through Sixth Form as a direct but assessed route into the girls' senior school.
