Maranatha Christian School

Bible teaching, worship and prayer shape Maranatha Christian School's identity, with faith, character and learning held together across a co-educational provision for ages 3 to 19 without boarding. New Maranatha Christian School Trust is the proprietor. The emphasis is not confined to a religious studies lesson: spiritual formation is part of the daily educational model and sits alongside attention to wellbeing, confidence and resilience.

The curriculum follows children from the Early Years Foundation Stage through primary and Key Stage 3 into GCSE study. Direct instruction, individualised self-learning and practical guidance are combined, with secondary subjects including English, mathematics, science, art, drama, PSHCE, PE, humanities, religious studies and Forest School. At GCSE, the listed programme includes sciences, English, mathematics, art, drama, PE and religious studies.

Forest School and bushcraft give Key Stage 3 pupils a practical strand, while projects, fieldwork, experiments and artistic work can all form part of assessment. Positive relationships, attention to mental-health support and spiritual development sit alongside the academic programme rather than replacing it, giving the small setting a deliberately personal and hands-on character.

Entry is handled directly, beginning with an application and an opportunity to visit. An interview follows the application route, while fees and a link to a separate bursary fund are available as part of the admissions information. The combination of a Christian foundation, practical learning and direct contact makes the route more personal than a standard centralised application process.
