Specialist Islamic studies continue into post-16 education at Madinatul Uloom Al Islamiya School, alongside academic and vocational courses for boys. Opened in 1988, the Summerfield community includes a sixth form, boarding and a recorded age range of 11 to 28, with capacity for up to 275 pupils.
In February 2026, the academic, inclusion, achievement, personal-development and post-16 standards were all met; attendance and behaviour were particularly strong and safeguarding standards were met. History, Arabic and science form part of a sequenced curriculum, with reading and writing given sustained attention across the provision.
The sixth form keeps religious study connected to career preparation rather than treating it as a separate track. Direct teaching, personal-development work and careers guidance sit beside the wider academic and vocational offer, giving older pupils a route that combines specialist learning with preparation for their next stage.
