The King's School in Macclesfield traces its story to 1502 and was re-founded under a new charter in 1552. Girls joined the Sixth Form in 1986, the school became fully co-educational, and in 2020 the community moved to a purpose-built 80-acre campus at Prestbury. Infants and Juniors, Seniors and Sixth Form now share one continuous structure.
