Overview

Twenty-two girls gathered in Landor House in 1879, the beginning of King's High School. The school moved from Smith Street to the Warwick Schools Foundation campus on Banbury Road in 2019, where it shares wider facilities with Warwick School while keeping girls' education at the centre of classroom teaching.

Creative thinking has a practical place in the curriculum. Years 7 to 9 pupils can complete the Changemaker Award; Years 10 and 11 can take Future Ready courses in social justice, global citizenship, climate change and entrepreneurship. Sixth Form combines A levels with the EPQ, the King's High Baccalaureate and shared careers provision. More than 260 weekly activities, Friday afternoon activity, sport, music, drama, art, trips and the Combined Cadet Force extend the school day.

Boarding begins in Year 9 and continues to Sixth Form in Way House, including flexi-boarding. Admissions cover Year 7, mid-year entry, Sixth Form and boarding. Sixth Form applicants complete the application and supplementary forms, submit a personal statement and attend interview; offers are normally conditional on the GCSE grades required for chosen A-level subjects.
