Hill House has been part of Doncaster's educational life since 1912 and now carries pupils from nursery through sixth form. Small classes and staff who know pupils well give the co-educational day school a family-scale character, while the full 2-19 route keeps the next stage close at hand.
Years 7 and 8 establish a broad foundation before choices begin in Year 9. English, mathematics, science and modern languages are joined by Latin, computing, philosophy, economics and psychology. Pupils normally take nine or ten GCSEs, followed by three or four A levels, with the senior curriculum providing continuity rather than a sharp break between phases.
The 25-acre setting includes fields, AstroTurf, a music school, theatre, library and sixth-form centre. Six choirs, three orchestras and other ensembles sit alongside drama, art, sport and charitable work. More than 100 weekly activities range from fencing and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award to debating, gardening and ancient Greek.
Entry is direct, with open events and personal tours from nursery through sixth form before registration. Applications are accepted at several main entry points, and other year groups may be considered during the academic year when space is available.
