Overview
Established in 1993 on the former Harrods Sports Club site, The Harrodian School began with 65 Pre-Prep and Prep pupils in one building. Its 25-acre riverside campus now brings together Pre-Prep, Prep, Senior and Sixth Form sections for pupils aged 4 to 18. It operates without boarding.
The Senior School begins in the 13s, or Year 9. Pupils make language and optional-subject choices as they progress towards GCSE study, with the later years bringing greater academic rigour and more independent learning. The curriculum handbooks trace that progression through Years 9 to 11, while the wider structure keeps the senior phase connected to the younger sections.
Drawing, painting, dance, drama and music sit alongside debating, Model United Nations and STEM activities in the senior co-curricular programme. Direct entry is offered at Reception, Years 4, 7 and 9, and Lower Sixth, with assessment arrangements varying by route. The result is an all-through riverside campus in which the move to Senior begins in Year 9 and activities retain a prominent place.
