Overview

Achievement with Heart names an all-through model that runs from age 2 through Sixth Form. Early years and prep lead into Years 7 to 11 and post-16 study, within a non-uniform parkland environment where pupils and teachers use first names. Pupils attend by day, there is no boarding, and entry is selective.

The Senior School combines core subjects with GCSE options and a discussion-led approach in which teaching is adapted for individual pupils. In Sixth Form, pupils typically choose three or four A Levels and can take an Extended Project Qualification. Careers support, leadership, service and Preparing for Life give the post-16 programme a wider purpose alongside examination study.

Sport, music, drama, academic clinics, trips and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award extend the senior timetable. Sustainability is a whole-school priority. The Harmony curriculum is embedded across the school and is being extended into Senior, so its place in the later years should be understood as developing rather than complete.

Applicants submit an online form, a recent school or nursery report and identification. Early-years candidates are invited to a trial morning or day; older applicants take an online English and maths assessment followed by interview. The direct process and the selective status make entry distinct from a local-authority allocation route.
