Founded in 1998, Hamd House School has a Muslim ethos open to children of all faiths and serves pupils from age 5 to 16. Its educational character is rooted in a carefully sequenced curriculum, respect and kindness, with no sixth form or boarding. The setting has remained focused on primary and secondary education rather than a post-16 route.
Subject teaching is supported by adaptations for pupils with SEND, while reading interventions help children with weaker phonics. PSHE connects learning with different faiths, British values, respect and kindness. The combination gives the curriculum a clear social and moral dimension without losing its emphasis on subject knowledge and progression.
Pupil voice has a practical place in the day through a student council, school monitors, head boy and head girl roles, and respectful discussion of sensitive issues. Careers education, Year 10 work experience and introductions to colleges, apprenticeships and universities help pupils think about the next stage beyond age 16.
The admissions route uses separate primary and secondary application forms, with enquiries directed to the Birmingham office. Subject-option information is limited. The inspection chronology also matters: a 2023 standard inspection judged the setting outstanding, a 2024 emergency inspection found some standards unmet, and June 2025 monitoring found the standards checked were met after safeguarding and leadership changes.
