Overview

Four parents founded Halcyon London International School as a not-for-profit community in 2012, and it opened in 2013 with the International Baccalaureate as its academic foundation. That beginning still defines the model: a co-educational, non-boarding school for ages 11 to 18, with a sixth form and a deliberate focus on the IB rather than a conventional examination sequence.

Halcyon offers the Middle Years Programme from 11 to 16 and the Diploma Programme from 16 to 18. Subject teams work across language, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, arts, physical and health education, and design. Student-led wellbeing, weekly teacher-mentor conversations and university and careers counselling accompany ECAs, Explorations, Discovery Days, residentials and overseas trips.
