Greenwich Waldorf is organised around a contemporary Waldorf approach in which academic, artistic and practical work are woven together. Children aged 3 to 18 move through Kindergarten, Lower, Middle and Upper School across local sites between Greenwich, Charlton and Blackheath. Gardens, woodlands and nearby cultural and sporting facilities form part of the educational setting.
Main lessons and integrated themes connect mathematics, science, languages and humanities with art, craft, movement and practical work. French and German begin from Class 1. Later study includes Latin, botany, economics, geography, history, eurythmy, gardening and blacksmithing, with projects, trips and independent research used across the curriculum.
Pupils aged 15 to 18 take the three-year NZCSE international Waldorf qualification alongside GCSE English and maths. NZCSE is based on continuous assessment, externally moderated and accepted by UCAS and UK universities. Singing, movement, outdoor time in all weathers, class responsibilities, music, sport, crafts, festivals, residential trips and a school council give the Upper School a distinctive daily rhythm.
Applications are welcomed from age 3, either for the academic year or during the year where places are available. The process includes an application form and fee, a family and child interview and sometimes a taster day or previous academic information; selective testing is not used. Class 6 and Class 9 are common entry points. After Class 10, entry is restricted to pupils already studying NZCSE who are moving from another Waldorf setting. All relevant standards were met in January 2026.
