At Eternal Light, Islamic learning runs alongside examination preparation rather than apart from it. The boys' programme combines the National Curriculum with Islamic Studies, Alim and Hifz classes. English, mathematics, science, history, geography, art and design, ICT, PE, religious studies, PSHE, careers, performing arts and Urdu all form part of the timetable.
Post-16 study extends into Hidaya, Mishkaat and Bukhari as well as A-level, BTEC and Level 3 options, including Biology, Religious Studies, Computer Science, Urdu, Applied Law and Supporting Teaching and Learning. Reading assemblies, library use and team-building activities create recurring points of connection between academic work and religious study.
Entry normally involves basic English and maths assessments, previous reports and an admissions review, usually in December. Eternal Light is a boys-only day provision for ages 11 to 23, with a sixth form and no boarding. It is based on Christopher Street, off Little Horton Lane in Bradford.
