Emmanuel Christian School began in Leicester in 2003, after local parents started the Christian School Project, and added its secondary phase in 2005. It now serves pupils from Reception to Year 11 on the grounds of Braunstone Evangelical Free Church, with no boarding or Sixth Form. Wisdom, knowledge and character are treated as a partnership between the school and parents.
The three phases are Lower School from Reception to Year 4, Middle School from Years 5 to 8 and Upper School from Years 9 to 11. GCSE preparation includes English, Mathematics, Science, Business, Art, History, French, Food Preparation, PE, Media Studies and Religious Education. Christian teaching runs through lessons, while learning support assistants help pupils with additional needs.
