Embley Park gives Embley an unusually distinctive setting: a 130-acre estate with Tudor and Elizabethan fabric and a Nightingale connection. The co-educational, all-through school takes children from age 2 through Prep, Senior School and Sixth Form, combining day places with full, weekly and flexi boarding from Year 7.
The Embley Thinking Curriculum connects enquiry across subjects and phases in the Prep years. Sixth Form pupils choose from 23 A levels across science, technology, humanities, languages and the arts, with an Extended Project Qualification and independent study. Travel, service, Nightingale Lectures, study pods and collaborative spaces extend learning beyond lessons.
Admissions begin with a tour and online registration, followed by a taster and entrance assessment, with previous-school information also considered. Senior applicants take English and cognitive-ability tests, with an additional Mathematics paper for some year groups; Sixth Form applicants need five GCSEs at grade 5 or above including English and Mathematics, plus grade 7 in planned subjects. Boarders live in the Manor House through full, weekly or flexi arrangements.
