DLD College

DLD College grew from Davies, Laing and Dick, founded in 1931 to prepare students for Oxbridge and Colonial Service entrance examinations. That tutorial-college inheritance still suits its South Bank setting, where a co-educational day-and-boarding community serves students through Year 9, GCSE, A Level, BTEC and International Foundation programmes.

Year 9 combines English-language and IELTS development with an Urban School Project. GCSE students can choose academic, creative and BTEC options, while A Level and BTEC routes continue into the Sixth Form. The programme is built for students arriving at different stages, including those looking for a more focused college environment after school.

Modern classrooms and science laboratories support the academic work, while London itself becomes part of the Year 9 project. Personal tutors, teachers, Houseparents and a dedicated wellbeing team provide the daily framework, with small classes helping students settle into college life.

Boarding sits above the college in single and twin ensuite rooms with common areas and meals. Huddles group boarders by age, gender and floor under a Houseparent. For September 2026, entry routes cover Year 9, GCSE, A Level, BTEC and foundation study, with separate UK and international admissions contacts.
