Darul Uloom London School

Darul Uloom London was established in 1988 and has built a boys' boarding school in Chislehurst around two connected purposes: secondary education and preparation for religious leadership. The school also aims to equip students for constructive participation in wider society, so secular study, Islamic learning, self-discipline and service share the same residential setting.

The secular curriculum includes English Literature and Language, mathematics, science, ICT, Urdu, history and religious education. Sixth-form students can study Chemistry, Urdu, mathematics, Arabic, Biology and ICT, alongside diplomas in health and social care and management. Islamic education includes Hifz and a seven-year Alimiyyah course, giving the senior years a substantial religious pathway.

Boarding is organised in age-grouped wings with resident Housemasters, mentoring and medical support. Weekend activities, sports and recreation complement prayer, pastoral care and the habits of communal life. For families considering the school, the boarding arrangement is not an add-on: it determines how study, worship, supervision and independence are experienced each day.

Applications are made directly for boys aged 11 and above. The route requires an entrance assessment, a current-school reference and report, followed by an interview. Year 7 applications have a 31 December target; Year 12 and above applications can be made at any stage with predicted GCSE or IGCSE grades, and a waiting list may be offered.
