Brooke House College

Brooke House has the feel of a specialist college built around the next academic step. Its routes run from Key Stage 3 and GCSE through A levels, University Foundation and Intensive English, with the offer shaped for pupils and young adults aged 11 to 19. Day pupils and boarders join an international community whose academic and pastoral life is closely connected.

The course matters here because the routes are deliberately different. GCSE students can take a traditional two-year programme of around eight subjects or an accelerated one-year course with four or five. English language, mathematics and science form the core, while options include literature, history, geography, Spanish, business, psychology, sociology, art and global perspectives. The college also supports students preparing for university or employment.

Boarding adds a distinctive part to the college day. Younger students normally live on campus with resident tutors, while older students may move into supervised houses nearby. Specialist classrooms, a science and technology centre, common rooms and the Paul Kitchener activity building support the wider programme. The Football Academy brings daily technical, tactical, physical and psychological training alongside academic study.

Entry is handled directly by the college and varies with the chosen route. Applicants may provide reports, qualifications and references, complete an English assessment or interview, and meet senior staff before an offer is made. Football Academy applicants may also submit a football reference and attend a trial. Applications are accepted throughout the year, which gives the college a flexible, course-led admissions pattern.
