Bromsgrove School

Since 1553, Bromsgrove School has grown into a 100-acre Worcestershire community that joins Pre-Prep, Prep, Senior and Sixth Form education. Its charitable foundation, house system and combination of day and boarding places give the 2 to 18 school a defined internal geography: every pupil belongs to a smaller pastoral group within a much larger through-school.

Sixth Form pupils can choose between A levels and the International Baccalaureate. The breadth of the campus and age range allows academic, pastoral and co-curricular life to run across phases, while senior boarding houses sit alongside the day route rather than operating as a separate institution.

Boarders can visit, try short-term boarding and use the Guardian Angels arrangement for stays during most holiday periods outside the long Christmas and summer breaks. This makes residential life available as a flexible part of the school, as well as a full-time option for families who choose it.

Admission is direct. Pupils may join at any year group except Year 13, subject to the relevant process. Applicants provide a current school report, complete CAT4 and Oxford Online English testing and attend an interview; day pupils also sit entrance examinations. Individual visits, taster days and short-term boarding stays form part of the route into a place.
