Bromley High School GDST

Bromley High's distinctive shape is a continuous girls' education from the Junior School through the Senior School and Sixth Form, within the Girls' Day School Trust. Academic ambition sits beside confidence, participation and a broad co-curricular life, while external applicants can join at the main senior entry point.

Sixth Form pupils begin with four linear A levels before deciding, with guidance, which three to carry forward. The Extended Project Qualification adds an independent-study route, and the subject range reaches across sciences, languages, humanities, creative subjects and technology. The structure leaves room for individual combinations without losing a clear academic framework.

The Darwin Elective Programme, Minerva lectures and symposia, debating, orchestra, hockey, volunteering, leadership and the annual Outlook Expedition extend the timetable. Sixth Formers mentor younger pupils through Big Sister and can run clubs for them, making contribution to the wider community part of older-pupil life.

For September 2027, up to 60 external Year 7 places are available. The entrance examination covers verbal, non-verbal, spatial and quantitative reasoning, creative writing and a mathematics extension exercise. Junior School and Sixth Form entry have separate routes, so the assessment and timetable depend on the intended phase.
