Bredon School occupies Pull Court in Bushley and grew from a school founded in 1962 by Lieutenant-Colonel Tony Sharp into a specialist day and boarding setting for pupils with dyslexia and other learning differences. Its history joins that military beginning to an individualised purpose: building confidence, independence and personal responsibility.
The senior curriculum offers Academic, Creative and Vocational routes for Year 10 options. All pupils study English and mathematics, supported by assistive technology and Specialist Learning Sessions from SpLD-qualified teachers. Science, humanities, creative subjects, City & Guilds and BTEC options allow pupils to combine subjects around their strengths.
School life extends across Pull Court and its boarding houses. Day and boarding pupils can use teacher-led evening preparation in English, mathematics and science; boarding also includes full-time, weekly and flexi options, houses, activities and weekend outings. The Combined Cadet Force, sport and practical work add a physical and social dimension, while boarding staff remain separate from classroom teaching.
