Beis Malka Girls school

Beis Malka Girls school joins Kodesh and Chol education in an Orthodox Jewish community in Salford. Girls are registered from age 3 to 16, with separately registered early-years provision for two-year-olds and a holiday club during school breaks. The result is an all-through setting whose religious and general curriculum accompany pupils from the early years to the end of Year 11.

Reading is central to the secular curriculum, through stories, phonics and regular reading, including support for pupils whose home language is not English. Mathematics, English, history and other national-curriculum subjects sit alongside Hebrew and the religious programme. Assessment identifies gaps in knowledge, and many pupils achieve well across a range of GCSEs by the end of Year 11.

Learning extends into performances, sport, craft, cookery and visits to the magistrates' court and Houses of Parliament. Careers guidance for older pupils forms a structured programme about future work and study, while space for physical education and outdoor play supports the school day. In June 2024 the overall judgement was Requires Improvement, alongside a Good quality of education and further work needed on curriculum consistency and statutory personal development.

No selective entrance test, year-specific deadline or oversubscription process is established here. Families make voluntary contributions rather than paying a fixed day fee, and a standard admissions calendar cannot be confirmed. The school remains a girls' setting through the main age range, with early-years arrangements treated separately.
