At a glance
Auckland College is organised as a continuous journey from Pre-Prep through Prep and Secondary, serving boys and girls from age 3 to 16. The school puts family-centred, inclusive and personal education alongside practical support for working life: wraparound care runs from 7.30am to 6pm for 51 weeks of the year, with further enrichment and support for older pupils.
The curriculum changes character as pupils grow. Early Years learning is play-based and extends beyond the statutory EYFS framework; Prep combines the National Curriculum with specialist teaching in Spanish, PE, IT and creative arts; and the senior phase uses Pearson Edexcel International GCSEs. Small classes, booster sessions and tailored support sit alongside global perspectives, problem-solving, communication, leadership and resilience.
The extended day is matched by a broad programme of activity. Sport, music, STEM, art, drama, trips, performances, enterprise and community leadership appear alongside breakfast, after-school and holiday clubs. Younger pupils have outdoor learning and role-play, while seniors can use revision classes, GCSE masterclasses, careers guidance and university planning. The through-school model is therefore practical as well as academic, carrying familiar structures from early years to the end of GCSE study.
Entry is explicitly non-selective for ages 3 to 16, with Pre-Prep at 3 or 4 the main entry point. Other year groups depend on places, subject choices and examination timing; full year groups use a waiting list prioritised by application order. The 2026/27 information lists £7,000 for seniors when paid annually, and a full term's written notice is required to withdraw.
