Ashford School

Ashford's all-through shape links nursery, prep, senior school and sixth form across its Great Chart and East Hill sites. That gives the school a long educational arc, with the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate placing communication, independence, collaboration and leadership alongside subject learning before pupils move into the senior curriculum.

The senior route begins with English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics and history in Years 7 to 9, then opens into GCSE and sixth-form study. Later choices span sciences, languages, computer science, economics, politics, psychology, photography, drama, music, design and technology, food preparation and nutrition, and Global Perspectives. It is a broad academic menu rather than a narrow examination track.

Sport and creative life give that range a physical setting. Ashford has three cricket squares and six indoor nets, with access to local club venues, alongside music, piano, art, drama, swimming and a Combined Cadet Force. The mix suggests a school where specialist interests can continue through the week, with cricket a particularly visible part of the senior campus.

Entry is available at several points, including Years 7, 9 and 12. The registration form lists an assessment and a £145 registration fee for prep and senior applicants, while scholarships cover academic study, art, drama, music, piano, sport and swimming. Families are therefore considering a full school journey with more than one meaningful point of entry, rather than a single secondary transition.
