Academic achievement and Islamic practice are deliberately connected at Al Risalah Boys' School, which welcomes boys from faith and non-faith backgrounds. Respect, equality, integrity, tolerance, justice and honesty give the behaviour framework a practical place in school life, creating a selective London setting where study and conduct carry equal weight.

English, mathematics, science, ICT and computing, Arabic, geography, history, Islamic studies, religious studies, art, design technology, PSHE and physical education form the subject structure. A library and enrichment sit alongside assessment and examination work, giving the 11 to 16 route a clear GCSE and progress-monitoring frame without reducing the school to results alone.

Newsletters, a PTFA, enrichment, a library and a gallery add texture to the wider rhythm. Compassion and leadership sit beside the academic programme, while the Upper Tooting Road provision remains a non-boarding secondary phase for boys.

The admissions policy, last updated in September 2020, sets a two-stage Year 7 process. Applicants sit English, mathematics and science entrance examinations; successful candidates then attend an interview considering behaviour, attendance, references and participation or achievement beyond lessons. It is selective and oversubscribed, so the current criteria and timetable need confirmation before applying.
